Hello!  My name is Alyssa Flaten, and I have been teaching at Chelsea Heights for 11 years! I am so excited for year 12! Before becoming a teacher, I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of St. Thomas where I majored in Science and Mathematics for Elementary Education.  I also have completed my Master's Degree from Concordia University in Educational Technology.

When I am not at Chelsea Heights, I enjoy reading, hiking and watching the Green Bay Packers play football.  I love to do anything and everything outside, including running! I have run a few half marathons in my time and thoroughly enjoy being one of the last people to finish. 

I currently live in Saint Paul with my family. My son and twin daughters keep me very busy, but being a parent continues to be the biggest blessing!

Chelsea Heights is a wonderful place to work and a fabulous school.  The staff is supportive and helpful, and our students/families make coming to work FUN each and every day!
