Paula Bangert
Hello! My name is Paula Bangert and I am excited about teaching 4th grade this year. This year I will be starting my 13th year of teaching at St Paul Public Schools. I previously taught at The Heights Community School for 6 years in grades 3rd & 6th. At Chelsea, I have been in 4th grade for the past 7 years. I received my teaching degree from Concordia University, St Paul, majoring in Elementary Education w/K-8 Mathematics Specialty. I also completed my Master's in Educational Technology at the same location.
I have lived in Shoreview for the past 33 years with my husband, Matt, our twin daughters, Lydia and Emma and our dog, Ellie. Both of the girls recently graduated from college. Lydia has just started Physicians Assistant school at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Emma is an Emergency room nurse in Grand Forks, ND.
When I am not at Chelsea, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I absolutely love anything involved with the outdoors. Whether I am gardening, bike riding, walking my dog, reading, or boating, I love connecting with nature and enjoying all it has to offer. We also spend a lot of our time together at our cabin in Webb Lake, WI.
Every year, I look forward to joining my fabulous coworkers at Chelsea Heights in welcoming all the students back for another great year of learning. I couldn't be more blessed to call this my school my 'teaching home'. We have an amazingly supportive staff and parents with great students who make me laugh every day. This is what makes my job so awesome.
