I have been teaching in St. Paul Public Schools for 25 years. I have an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Minnesota, and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from University of Wisconsin, River Falls. I am licensed to teach 1st-6th grades. I have taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades during my career. I love teaching 2nd graders because they learn so much throughout the year! It is truly amazing to watch their confidence and independence grow!
My husband and I have two children and our family lives in Eagan. My daughter is starting her third year at the University of Minnesota and my son is beginning his first year of college in Ohio. We are officially "empty nesters!" We enjoy traveling and camping together, going to Minnesota team sporting events, and having family "movie nights". I love to read and write. During the summer, I try to read as much as I can!
There are so many things I love about working at Chelsea Heights. I think the families here are really supportive of their children and work hard to be involved in many different ways. The students here are kind, helpful and respectful of each other. The staff work well together and try to create an atmosphere that is engaging and fun for all learners. It is a wonderful place to work and learn!
