Again we ask that children come rested and prepared for a day of sucess in showing what they know. We had a surprise visit from Ms. Hennen on Wednesday of last week. All the students enjoyed seeing her and learning about her student teaching experience in eighth grade math. **Sneak a Peek** Reading: Gr. 3--”The Streets are Free,” setting, plot, point of vew, sequence, fact/opinion, May the Best Person Win (continued from last week) Gr. 4--”Rachel Carson: Protector of Planet Earth,” main idea/supporting details, The Great Eagle Comeback, (continued from last week) Math: Gr. 3--unit 9 test, MCA, length Gr. 4- freeze patterns, MCA *both groups will review and practice test taking strategies preparing for MCA testing Writing: Literary nonfiction/notebook (sharing), cursive, Word Masters, murals Spelling: Week 30, due April 23 (activity--choice) Social St.: gr.3--symbols, South Africa gr.4--plains, review chapter 8, state capitals State Sheets: all finished, We now will concentrate on trying to learn and memorize the state capitals.
