Welcome to the Chelsea Heights School Library! This is an exciting
place to be, located on the second floor at the end of the hallway. Our
librarian is Mr. Giese. There are about 18,000 materials in our
collection and most can be checked out by students and parents. At
Chelsea Heights, we strive to create lifelong learners and the library
is an essential part of that process.
Books circulate in the
library for one week at a time. Primary children(grades K-3) will bring
home a "baggie book" each day to be read and returned the next day for
a new one. Thank you for helping your child remember to bring library
books in on library day.
VOLUNTEERS are an essential part of the
library! We have a Volunteer Reading Program that runs daily from
8:30-9:15 AM where adults listen to primary children read. Both the
children and the adults have enjoyed this time in the past and many
volunteers return year after year to help us at Chelsea Heights. If you
are interested in volunteering in the library (or have questions on the
program), please call Mr. Giese or email him at John.Giese@spps.org.
