Welcome to our ELL webpage! Nyob Zoo! Bienvenidos! Chelsea Heights students come to us from all over the world, and more than twenty different languages are spoken by the children in our classrooms. What a wealth of diversity! The ELL teachers, Linda LeBoutillier and Eliza Tocher, work with model of ELL service called collaboration. We work together with the classroom teachers at all grade levels to facillitate language development. Often we team-teach with our colleagues in their classrooms. The collaborative model has been recognized by the district of St. Paul as a highly effective way to serve our English language learners. The MISSION of the ELL Department is to promote strong foundations for academic achievement and English language proficiency for English Language Learners in the St. Paul Public Schools.
