| Artist's Workshop | | Artist's Workshop began in 2001, I felt I had something to offer kids.
I believe there is so such for kids to learn from doing art. Artist's
Workshop started as a summer program.
We walked to Como Park, finding
things to draw. The
park is such a great resource for beautiful things
to draw. We
find something new every time we go.
I believe, if students
start to really see, they can draw anything. I use gesture drawing,
contour drawing and drawing from pictures that are upside down.
These
are tools to help the students begin to see. The students learned
techniques from the masters including, Van Gogh, Franz Marc( Blue
Horses)and Rauol Dufy often referred to as the "Painter of Light".
