| WELCOME TO THE WELLNESS CORNER | | We are excited to announce Chelsea Heights has a wellness committee that meets monthly to encourage a healthier community at school and at home by putting the school district’s wellness policy into action. Our district policy aims to promote and protect student well-being and ability to learn by supporting healthy habits of physical activity and eating. The policy outlines three areas of health and wellness for the school community; nutrition, physical activity, and staff wellness.
We are motivated to get involved because as parents we know that when our kids are physically active and eating healthy foods they…
- Learn more effectively
- Concentrate better
- Feel better about themselves
- Sleep better
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Have increased protection from chronic illnesses like heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and cancer
In this section you will find resources, ideas, and initiatives for the school, and parent community.
We are just getting started and welcome input from all parents and school personnel. We plan to meet monthly at the school and will post our meeting time, date, and location in the Cheetah Chatter and on the web site. We welcome all input and involvement!
We can all be positive role models by supporting and adopting healthy lifestyle practices. Together we can make a difference. Our goal is for Chelsea Heights kids to truly be THEIR ” Best from North, South, East and West!”
