|  | | | | Melanie Hjelm, Special Education Teacher | | This school year, 2008-2009, marks my second year at Chelsea Heights. I have been part of the St. Paul Public Schools for over 20 years working at a variety of elementary schools in the district. I have been in the field of Special Education as a Learning Disabilities teacher for the past eleven years. Currently my position is part-time, working each work day morning until I am off to my next assignment!
I have so enjoyed working here at Chelsea Heights. There is a lot of variety to my school day, working with children from kindergarten through the 8th grade. In addition to working with students from our school we also work with students with disabilities who are enrolled at the private schools; Holy Childhood and Maternity of St. Andrews.
I am available before school each day and also check my email daily.
