Sue_Bergeron
Sue Bergeron from the St. Paul Fire Department visited us on Friday, Nov. 6th to talk about Fire Safety.

Image Gallery: Fall Festival
Our Fall Festival took place on Friday, October 30th. All three kindergarten classes rotated through 10 stations, playing games and enjoying a snack. Thank you so much to all the parents & grandparents who helped make this event a success.
Welcome to our Fall Festival! The kindergartners took turns dropping ghosts into a pumpkin shell. The children encouraged each other as they took turns playing 'Pin the Nose on the Jack O' Lantern'. Racing each other, the children used hockey sticks to push large pom poms across the floor and around traffic cones. See all 7 images.

Nature magazines are full of wonderful pictures and information. Three concentrated learners work on our classroom computers. Here's one proud illustrator. "See, I made a book!" "Hmmmm, what else can I add to my story?"

Image Gallery: First Full Week
The children are exploring more and more activities offered during our Learning Center Time. Take a look.
Welcome to my world! It's wonderful to see the kindergartners making new friends and helping each other. Is there anything better than PVC pipes, turkey basters and a huge tub of cool water? Go for it, plumbers! See all 10 images.

We've only had two days of kindergarten but here are some of the activities we've done so far.
Pattern blocks are so much fun! A proud artist! The joy of reading is a special part of our day. Cars, buses and trucks are an important part of imaginative play. See all 13 images.

Meet Natasha, our new puppy!!! My husband and I visited the Humane Society of Ramsey County on Saturday, Nov. 7th to see if there were any puppies available for adoption. We instantly fell in love with this little cutie - - an eight week old Shih Tzu mix - - so we filled out the paperwork and brought her home! It's been 17 months since our beloved Nellie went to doggie heaven, so we're feeling very happy and very lucky to have Natasha as a new member of our family. Did you know that teachers need to go on field trips periodically? Over MEA I took a day trip with Ellen. She introduced me to Lark Toys & Museum in Kellogg, MN. They have an incredibly beautiful carousel which costs only $1 to ride on!!!! What a wonderful experience for your 'inner child'. I also visited the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, MN, and learned a lot of fascinating facts about eagles. Ellen and I are pictured here with Harriet, a 28 year old bald eagle. My cat Taz is enthralled with Disco Monkey, one of my puppets. She decided to cuddle in with him on our couch, thereby making it difficult for me to bring him to school. Luckily I managed to pry him away from her. See all 7 images.
