| Kindergarten Art Gallery |  | Ms. Brown's Kindergarteners read the story "Zoo-Looking". Their art was
inspired by the illustrations in the book. The students selected their
favorite animal to create.
They began by putting in the backround then
added the animal. We talked about what body parts are very important so
their picture will look like their animal.
All of the animals have
eyes, ears, noses and mouths. The shape of each part will be different
for each animal.

Sun Faces Ms. Brown's class read a Native American legend about a Raven's search for the sun. They drew their own creation of a sun and colored it with oil pastels. Using a wax resist method they painted over the picture with a watercolor wash. In this lesson they learned how to paint using two colors, washing their brush between each color.
