Kindergarten Art Gallery
Ms. Brown's Kindergarteners read the story "Zoo-Looking". Their art was inspired by the illustrations in the book. The students selected their favorite animal to create.

They began by putting in the backround then added the animal.
We talked about what body parts are very important so their picture will look like their animal.

All of the animals have eyes, ears, noses and mouths. The shape of each part will be different for each animal.

Image Gallery: Sun Faces
Ms. Brown's class read a Native American legend about a Raven's search for the sun. They drew their own creation of a sun and colored it with oil pastels. Using a wax resist method they painted over the picture with a watercolor wash. In this lesson they learned how to paint using two colors, washing their brush between each color.
