I have taught at Chelsea Heights School for 6 years! I am a graduate of the College of St. Thomas. I began my teaching career in Crookston, MN teaching 2nd & 1st grades. I lived in Crookston for 3 years. I moved back to the Roseville area and taught 1st grade at St. Rose of Lima School for 8 yrs. I also was a licensed home Daycare Provider for 10 years while home with our 4 children. This was a fun way to keep working with children and be able to be a stay at home mom!! However, I kept my teaching license current, knowing I would return to teaching one day! I have taken many courses through Hamline University and recently obtained a PrePrimary Teaching Certificate from the College of St. Catherine - now I am licensed to teach PrePrimary through Grade 6. I subbed in Roseville and St. Paul Schools before teaching Kindergarten at Chelsea Heights and also had the opportunity to work for the University of Minnesota on the Reading First Program - which was a very interesting position.
My husband and I live in Roseville with our 4 children. They keep us very busy along with 3 dogs and a cat! Our oldest daughter, Maggie, is a sophomore at The College of St. Scholastica, Patrick is a Senior at Roseville Area High School, Johanna is a sophomore at Roseville Area High School and Jack is an 8th grader at Roseville Middle School. They all are active in a variety of sports and keep us constantly on our toes!
My favorite things to do are baking and reading. I enjoy spending the summer months at home with our kids. I love to be outside and work in my gardens too. Also, taking care of all those pets keeps me active!
