Only four days of first grade until summer vacation!
This past school year has gone so quickly! I have enjoyed working with all of you and your children. First graders make GIANT leaps in the reading, writing, and math. All of the children have worked very hard! I would strongly encourage all of you to continue reading to your children and let them read to you. I think an even greater way to keep up with the reading is the phonetic writing. There should be plenty of space left in the first grade journals to keep writing throughout the summer. On Monday I will send home a final Family Letter (Unit 10) with math activites, too.
